Browne
Concentrates On Bigger Picture
Wimborne Town's for chase silverware may now be down to just
the Dorset Senior Cup following their heavy Sydenhams League
Cup defeat to Poole Town, but Magpies boss Alex Browne insisted
he is looking at bigger picture in a bid to launch a push for
honours next term.
That will mean the Wimborne boss, who had already brought in
three new singings since his Cuthbury take over in November,
continuing to replenish the squad.
Browne said: "Firstly I want to apologise to our supporters who
paid good money to come and watch against Poole for our
performance. They did not deserve that, whatsoever. We have no
excuses. .I also want to congratulate Tommy Killick and his
Poole side for their victory.
"We are now looking at the bigger picture. I have been
assessing the squad during recent games. I will be bringing in
one or two more new signings and they will need to be in place
towards the end of the campaign because I don't want to start
next season with the players not knowing one another."
